I’m pretty much almost done, finally. Here are some updates on the drawing. I hope to have the final piece either today or tomorrow.
Update 12/15/14
Slight delay
This week has been quite problematic. I had a major problem with a virus that was going around and got sick because of it. That had me out of commission for the whole week, and to top it all off it’s is now going to be finals week so I have to take some time to study. For that reason I will have to delay this week’s artwork. \
Sorry about that.
But here are some scans of what I have done so far.
Next project/s 12/03/14
After much thought I figured I had many good artworks that were good enough for the Restoration Project, but I also found a couple of works that had some good potential but are not up to par for me to restore them. Instead I will be redoing them with my new skills, trying to bring out my original ideas and feelings and making them even better.
In any case I have a large collection of drawings that go well over fifty ( I haven’t counted them, but that seems to be about right). Anyway, aside from that I also want to do some Studio Ghibli artwork as well. Focusing on my favorite films. Another thing I want to do is make some winter and Christmas artwork as well, seeing as we are already in December.
But, before I do the winter theme artwork I want to work on a piece to commemorate the release of Kingdom Hearts II.5 release.

The first drawing to go under this process is this Aqua painting.
I had a good idea, but the drawing is very rough. I had never really used watercolor before (at least seriously) during this time, so the results leave a lot to be desired. In any case this is the drawing I will using for the next project.

New artwork Featuring Asuka Langley Shikinami
As promised here is some new artwork that will be added to the gallery soon. This time it is Asuka from the new Evangelion movies.
What I like the most about Evangelion is probably Asuka both in the original series and the new remakes. Though most people will not like my opinion, I feel I like the new Asuka more. The reason being that the original Asuka didn’t really seem to have much of a future anymore. And that seemed rather sad to me. Sure it probably makes the story more interesting but I seriously prefer characters that see a light after all the struggles, which is what I think this new remake has and the other one didn’t. Regardless, both were great. The thing I hated the most about the original Asuka is that she was too much in “love” with Kaji, which I never really understood. Why so much fixation. Though the same can be said about Shinji. Although I’m usually ok with weak characters, Shinji just rubbed me the wrong way, I really don’t like him. In either the original or the remakes. This is probably one of the reasons why I wouldn’t put Evangelion among my favorite animes, The protagonist was just not very likeable to me. And that is a big point against a series. But Asuka despite her many flaws made the story very interesting, and in the new movies very likeable.

Next artwork 11/24/14
Hey guys, I was hoping to maybe even have this piece done by today. But my computer was acting out so I spend all day cleaning and fixing it. So I guess I will just post what I have so far. Truthfully this is an old piece, part of the restoration project. Also I really like the way it already looks right now so I don’t know if I will end up adding anything new to it. But I might. So for now just get a look at this. I will get back to you guys once i have made a decision.
Artist Project Update 11/22/2014
My page is no finally fully optimized and ready for business. It took me a while to figure out what I should do and how. I’d say that the prices were probably the hardest thing I had to take care of. Artwork takes quite a long time to make and on top of that it requires a lot of effort despite what people may think. So I went around to see what others were doing. I found out that their prices were really cheap. So that didn’t really help me at all, but I noticed that they sold their work as prints, not the originals (some did, and for dirt cheap too, but that is a different story). In that instance I decided to instead make work that would be made for the sole purpose of selling them as prints. I still think that the originals should cost more, but I’ll just refrain from selling those.
I heard that it was hard to survive doing this, and people weren’t kidding. It takes a lot of time to hone one’s skills and actually make money from it. One of the reasons for that is because it takes time to make a name for oneself, unless one has the ultimate ability to make good work and make art that pleases the masses. It seems that most of the art that gets the most attention at a quick rate is art that relies on fan service pieces. And that saddens me. I don’t want to have to resort to that, it’s just not my taste or style. The only other route to take is the harder one where I have an impressive art ability that is undeniably good. But even then I still have to get my name out there. And that takes time. But it seems like my time has shortened. I need to make this a liable career soon, otherwise I need to find another way to make money so I can pay for school and art supplies. That of course will cut away at the time I have for actually working on new pieces. So that will make my time getting there even longer, and that scares me a little. I seriously need to do something to remedy that. I have to make art that blows the minds of people that come across it. I need to figure out what my artwork is missing if I am seriously thinking of becoming a professional artist.
I finally managed to finish 16 pieces that I deem worthy of being in the gallery. But that is not enough, I have to make more even better pieces. My determination has been fluctuating recently, although I have managed to hone some of my skills to produce what I had in mind. I still see a lot of room for improvement. I will go ahead and keep training and see if that makes any difference. I have been getting a couple of new followers here and in Deviantart, but I have yet to have anyone buy any of my prints. That’s probably one of the hardest things I have to keep in mind, many people will be content by just downloading the digital copy off the internet. I have to become good enough that people will want to fund me and my art by buying prints or giving me commissions. For now that is my next goal.

Allright, so here are some more artwork that are now part of the gallery. I can’t believe it, but it has grown up quite a bit. Sure most of it comes from the restoration project, but that doesn’t change the fact that now we have 16 pictures being featured. I will make sure to make more artwork that is worthy of being showcased!

Some new additions?
I added a couple of more pieces to the gallery about three days ago, didn’t say anything because I got a bit busy. I’ll give some more info on this tomorrow, I’ll also be adding another new piece as well. So please look forward to that.

New additions to the gallery!
Sorry I know I tend to disappear quite a bit, but I had to take care of some paperwork that decides my future for the next two years among other duties I had to keep. But fear not for I was also working on some artwork along the way. I guess what I will be posting is not new, but it has been refined now that I have leveled up my skills. There are some other artworks that will be getting this treatment so look forward to that. If I have some more time I will also be adding some more info on other posts I left unfinished as well. Now that the year is ending I’m actually getting a bit more time to work on all this so I hope to add some more content. Please look forward to that.

EVA-01: “Berserk -EMERGENCY”
I’m finally done with this piece. Man did this take a long time. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to to with this drawing. But overall I’m quite content with the way it came out. I sure am tired though… Anyway here it is. I have some other artwork I can work with, I’ll let you know tomorrow.
I’m thinking of adding two versions, one without a background and one with.

I’m currently working on this piece, here’s what I’ve done so far. I am still thinking on how to finish it.
Aqua, Terra, Ventus “The challenges of the outside world” Update III Final
I’m finally done with my Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep drawing. I had it mostly done a couple of days ago actually. But I decided to hold off on it since I was still unsure of a couple of details. I’m glad I did because I feel I actually made it better. So for one, I added some more details with my color pencils and then I also used a new tool this time. I recently bought a black and white carbon pencil set. They work really well, specially the black one. It’s really soft and dark. Also I can spread it out to my preferences to add shadow effects and darken any colors quickly and efficiently. I really recommend it.
Once I had it all in order I darkened a couple of colors and areas using that carbon pencil I was talking about. After that I noticed that I would be able to produce an effect I was thinking about when it came to Ventus and specially Terra. I wanted to show that darkness was present in both, though it engulfed Terra so I added some black aura/shadows/mist around their bodies. But I also wanted Aqua to remain untouched by it but still in the midst of it since they are her friends and also her responsibility. I’ll talk a bit more about what I wanted to convey through this drawing a bit later. One thing I wasn’t really sure about was Ventus’s hair. I just didn’t like the dark outline at all. So I decided to add a bit of white highlights with my white pen. Luckily it came out rather well. So before I explain anything about it, here are the pictures.
I will add a bit more to this later.
