How to Draw Challenge – Zero Kiryu

Sorry I had to skip another day to post a video this week, but I was so tired I wasn’t able to do it in time. Which is why I thought it would just be best to post it today. I have noticed that most of my videos have now started to get broken in two. I truly believed that it would just be temporary but seeing as I am now able to put more details into my drawings I think I will just keep doing it this way (specially since requests have dwindled). This will benefit you the viewer in a number of ways, two of them being that I won’t make the videos too fast, so that you may see the movements and learn and that you will have plenty of time to practice each part for about half a week before the next installment goes on air.

Now for this drawing as you can see (if you go through the whole video you should be able to notice it), I was not able to fully anticipate what my whole plan was. I kept changing things here and there throughout, so if you are following every movement I suggest that you please see it once first so that you can know ahead of time what lines and figures will not be needed. Also at some point during the video you can notice when I ran out of memory and my camera stopped filming, when I finally notice I had to erase my progress and redraw it so that you may see it. Let me know if you can find that scene.

How to Draw Challenge – Misaka Mikoto (COLORED)

And so here is the second installment of my Biribiri drawing. I tried to take a bit more time on the coloring so that it would look better than it would normally do so. And truthfully although I believed I could take more time on it, it does not look half bad at all. In fact the colors are definitely blending much better. I’ll have to go ahead and work on it a bit more to make it even better but over all the whole idea is there. Until next time.

How to Draw Challenge – Misaka Mikoto

Biribiri… I wonder if any of my viewers are To Aru Majutsu no Index (or Kagaku no Railgun) fans. I remember watching this last year and immensely enjoyed it. and to no surprise I became a big fan of Misaka Mikoto. What can I say I have become captivated by the charms of the tsundere girls. What I like about her is that although she acts really mature and at times rather tough she is in fact innocent and incredibly cute. And of course let’s not forget that she has the power to destroy her enemies with a railgun just by using a coin, how cool is that? I seriously can’t wait until they finally make a third season.

So this is the first part of the drawing (just like my last drawing of Amu Hinamori), I’ll have the coloring video up next time.

How to Draw Challenge – Amu Hinamori (COLORED)

And so here is the second part of the Amu Hinamori drawing, this time it is the coloring. I really need to buy more colored pencils, all my drawings seem to be losing a lot of detail. Although I feel my skills have gotten rather good, I tend to be relaxing a bit too much on the time investment. I know I can do a lot better if I pour more time into it but because of time restrictions I haven’t been able to do so. Well that and the lack of tools (pencils). I will try to fix this dilemma. I want to start showing drawings a bit closer to my 100 percent.

How to Draw Challenge – Amu Hinamori

We have gotten a request of my favorite “Cool and Spicy” magical girl. I had drawn her before on my other account, but looking it over I could tell it was lacking quite a bit. So this gave me an excuse to draw her again. I am actually really surprised at how good it took shape, I could definitely see the great progress I have gone through over this last year. Now next time I upload a video it will be of me coloring this drawing. I have already started but because I was running down on time I decided to cut it in two parts. So far it is looking really good.

One last note, specifically directed at PurpleOrigami28. I am sorry that this video is much shorter and does not have the description of my first videos. It all eventually evolved into shorter ones that shed the instructions of every important movement. I came to the realization that this was in a way a good thing. If viewers watch my videos from the beginning, then they will be able to progress until they no longer need them. After all, drawings have only a few important guidelines that need to be followed (at least in my mind). I might make another channel just for going over videos and making them longer with instructions, but that might have to wait for a little bit longer.

How to Draw Challenge – Vincent Valentine

And so we have another character from Final Fantasy VII, this time it is Vincent Valentine. The mysterious and cool character with a rather harsh past. Everytime I see him I get the feeling he has a combination of both a vampire and shinobi. Personally I prefer his other style (the one before he had the experiments done on him) but he does look cool none the less.

It has been a while since I last drew with just pencil so I really wanted to do so now.

How to Draw Challenge – Tifa Lockhart (COLOR)

If people do not know who she is then they have at least heard her name or seen her face (and body) at some point or another. Tifa is one of the most iconic game characters out there today. The fact that she is extremely beautiful and can kick you silly are two main reasons that I like her. I can’t help but find strong and dependable women to be attractive. Even way back when, when I was barely getting into the whole anime and manga lifestyle, I was already becoming a fan of Tifa after getting a glimpse of her in Advent children (at that time I had barely started to play Kingdom Hearts and learned a bit about Final Fantasy).

Since requests are no longer piled up and taken cared of I can now start drawing some things that I am personally interested on. This being one of them. Just to let you guys know (the viewers who take their time to stop by my channel to see my videos every week) I will not be posting another video for about a week, so the next one will be next Saturday (this will happen anytime I do not have any requests). I am doing this because I am trying to master new mediums and finally announce a project I have been working on for a while now that I cannot wait to show you guys. I truly hope you guys understand. Now as for this drawing, I actually drew this about a week ago but I decided to take care of requests first.

Over all I really liked how it came out, but I do want to go ahead and fix a couple of details that stick out a bit too much. The main thing that bugs me is that her face seems to give off too much shine, this doesn’t really look good since it gives the impression that she is oily. And the other details are small ones that I couldn’t do in the video because if I got too close to the camera my head would block out everything. And seriously who would want to see my head instead of the drawing.

How to Draw Challenge – Dead Master (COLOR)

I would like to apologize since I put this post a day late, it seems I forgot to do it yesterday.

After drawing Black Rock Shooter it should not come as a surprise that Dead Master would come next. I feel I could not put as much detail as I would have liked because all my black color pencils are now just about used (their small size make it hard for me draw or color well). I’ll have no choice but to go and buy some more, hopefully very soon.

Now on to Dead Master, I definitely prefer the character design for her in the OVA. I wonder why they decided to put the glasses in the anime series? Although girls with glasses look surprisingly cute, I thought they looked out of place here.

How to Draw Challenge – Erza, Heavens Wheel Armor (INKED)

This is my second drawing of Erza Scarlet, (you can see my first one here, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IojQKf-ulWk ) this was  a request I was asked for a couple of months ago but seemed to have not taken not of it. So I apologize for not doing it sooner. I wanted to try something a bit different so I decided to finish it off with a pen using only hatching and cross hatching. There is definitely a lot of room for improvement but I think I should be able to fix it. Overall though I don’t think it looks too bad.

How to Draw Challenge – IA

Once again we have another Vocaloid. This time it is another newcomer, IA. I have heard a couple of songs and really like her voice. She really sounds realistic too, which I find interesting.

Because the hair color tended to change a bit in the references I had a hard time choosing how to go about it. In the end I decided to create a bit of a mixture of both light yellowish creme and a hint of pink. To my surprise it actually looke really good.
