XERO Drawing OPERATION Gundam RX-78-2 II (COLOR)

This is the second time I have drawn the original Gundam. Truthfully the last time was in my opinion a failure. Despite that, it did amass a good amount of views. So I figured I owed it to my viewers to create a better version now that I can draw at any pace I feel like.

For some reason though I just kept getting problem after problem. The first attempt the video got messed up because of a new sketch book that I bought. Then I just couldn’t get the pose to come out just right in my head so I had to redraw the whole drawing over and over again. That of course takes time away from the camera that is recording. Which then leads to the batter draining out and take some more time to charge up. In the end it was a whole mess that took longer than it needed.

Even so I was pleased with the way it came out. A background would have looked nice but trying to incorporate space (as in outer space) with color pencils is quite hard because of the amount of color you have to put in. I developed a technique for this using markers/water color paints but the paper would most likely start to buckle. So… yeah.

In any case here it is. Now that I have uploaded a version that I am pleased with I can finally move on into other mobile suits late in the future.

What do you guys think?
Any Questions?

Hope you enjoy it,

How to Draw Challenge – Mephisto and Amaimon

request by: Soul000Eater
For this weeks requests we have Mephisto and Amaimon from Blue Exorcist which is a really good series.

I wanted to give a simpler kind of drawing and yet make it a cross between realistic and manga styled. The result is not something extraordinary but it doesn’t look too bad either. I wonder if when I’ll be able to master this style? I’m sure I could accomplish it if I added more time to the drawing but I want to bring it out easily and swiftly.

Hope you enjoy it,

How to Draw Challenge – Misaka Mikoto (COLORED)

And so here is the second installment of my Biribiri drawing. I tried to take a bit more time on the coloring so that it would look better than it would normally do so. And truthfully although I believed I could take more time on it, it does not look half bad at all. In fact the colors are definitely blending much better. I’ll have to go ahead and work on it a bit more to make it even better but over all the whole idea is there. Until next time.

Hope you enjoy it,

How to Draw Challenge – Misaka Mikoto

Biribiri… I wonder if any of my viewers are To Aru Majutsu no Index (or Kagaku no Railgun) fans. I remember watching this last year and immensely enjoyed it. and to no surprise I became a big fan of Misaka Mikoto. What can I say I have become captivated by the charms of the tsundere girls. What I like about her is that although she acts really mature and at times rather tough she is in fact innocent and incredibly cute. And of course let’s not forget that she has the power to destroy her enemies with a railgun just by using a coin, how cool is that? I seriously can’t wait until they finally make a third season.

So this is the first part of the drawing (just like my last drawing of Amu Hinamori), I’ll have the coloring video up next time.

Hope you enjoy it,

Area no Kishi

I just started watching this anime yesterday, and I just could not stop watching it. For one, I doubt I said this before but my favourite sport is Football (or Soccer here in the US), so seeing an anime about it really gets my attention. I had seen Captain Tsubasa, Whistle!, and a couple of others (although I really did not get into those, probably why I cannot remember their names), which i why I feel that finding another series that deals with one of my favourite passtimes is refreshing. Just like with Captain Tsubasa and Whistle! I really feel like going outside and playing again (man it feels like it was such a long time ago that I touched a ball). I feel that this series is alot more alike to Whistle! (especially since Captain Tsubasa was more about extrordinary techniques  such as my alltime favourite “Tiger Shot” performed by my favourite character Hyuga). Anyway if you have not read or seen the animes of both Captain Tsubas and or Whistle! I suggest you take a look.

Now back to Area no Kishi. The plot seems to revolve around two brothers (Suguru and Kakeru) who are in love with the sport since they were kids. They along with their childhood friend Nana nicknamed Seven (for those who know a bit about Japanese, you will see the connection there) were really good players. Time passed and and because of some incident (read the manga or watch the anime to find out why) Kakeru no longer wanted to be part of the team as a player. Suguru really loathed that his younger brother who had such amazing talents would just let them go to waste because of such petty reasons (Although having felt that ugly feeling of hopelessnes one time I can see what Kakeru might have felt during those moments. Let me tell you it is not pretty, in fact one feels locked and nothing can be done until one figures out why and how to move on). Anyway after a rather sad and horrific event, Kakeru and Suguru became one (read or see the anime to know what I mean by this) and are now forging a path to their dream of winning the World Cup.

I am in episode six, and let me tell you that I am really enjoying my time so far.

Until Next Time,
