"A Hopeless Dream Chaser"
It is day 8th. Today’s drawing is of Naoko Kawai, my favorite 80s idol, And that’s saying something because there are so many idols I love. I think I now am understanding the style that I may be setting on. Looking back at the last Naoko drawing I made, I didn’t quite like they way it looks. This though, I think is more my style.

Day 7, Rei Ayanami. Will have to try drawing it again at some point in the future. Didn’t quite like the way the eyes look and I think I will have to make the arm a bit longer.

Day 6 of Inktober. This time I decided to draw Lynn Minmay. I saw this cute photo of Akina Nakmori talking in the phone that I thought would work very well. This time I decided to to add more hatching. For the hair I decided to follow the flow of the hair while for the jacket I decided to go for a more stylized hatching technique.
Everything was going well, but I did mess up twice this time. The maru pen got stuck and sent droplets of ink all around the left top corner of the drawing and then I touched the ink and smudged on the right hand sleeve. I uploaded a cleaned up version, but in the spirit of inktober I have also uploaded the original version as well.

Didn’t get to hatch this drawing or ink it (although I did start hatching the eyes and eyebrows by accident) but here is today’s drawing. This time I chose to draw Marin Kitagawa as Shizuku Kuroe.

For day 4 I have decided to draw Goku. There was the meme of Goku in his drip which I thought was hilarious. I could care less of the Supreme brand, but what was fun about Toriyama was that artwork often showcased the Dragon Ball characters in trendy outfits. I always loved seeing Goku in different outfits. I think the most recent example in current Dragon Ball was the snow outfit used in the Dragon Ball Super Broly movie.
This time I decided to make Goku’s hair slightly less triangular, I guess making it somewhat soft. I also wanted to try out a different eye design. I finally got the chance to hatch for this drawing. But maybe I should play around with thinner lines next time I do a simple hatching technique.

I really like this look that Miyabi had in 2018. I think it really suits her.

It is day 2 of Inktober 2022 and the pixiv prompt is sweater, so today’s drawing is of Airi in a sweater.

October is finally here, and with that also comes Inktober. For the first day I decided to draw Momochi. There is a picture of her in hiking gear.

I want to also work with hatching and cross hatching, but that may be done on Monday’s drawing.

Happy Halloween everyone! Although by this time it’s pretty much already over. Hopefully you guys had a great time. Today also marks the last day of Inktober. I got out somewhat early today from my other job so I decided to make multiple drawings for this special day. I was having a hard time deciding who to draw for the last day and just decided that there was no reason to just choose one. So I made three instead. I was actually going to make five… but that was pushing it.
For today, I decided to draw Karin Miyamoto in a maid outfit (super cute), Airi in her Sailor Moon cosplay (I’ve been craving to draw her for such a long time now) and Momochi in the outfit she used for the 2016 NTV Halloween Live event.
Didn’t have time to hatch or ink them today but I at least managed to finish the line art.
In terms of Inktober anyway, see you guys next year. Hopefully you guys enjoyed my drawings this month.

This one took a while, and it’s still not done. I remembered that in Pokemon there were three legendry’s that possesed the power of wind and thunder and a third one. I had done a bit of research at the time and learned that they were based on three Japanese Kami. Over the years I wanted to make a piece with Misaka and Kongo Mitsuko as Raijin and Fujin. After thinking a bit about Inari and learning that it’s the god of foxes, fertility and a bunch of other things plus it’s the leader of the three Kami I felt that Misaki Shokuhou would best fit this role. For various reasons. This drawing took a while since I couldn’t find readily available information about these three Kami and high resolution images of them. Then, the ones that were available came in so many variations that in the end I just decided to take some artistic liberty for some of the details.

Airi had a recent post where she had a really cute outfit. I just really wanted to draw her in it. The sweater has a lot of details which I wanted to draw. The colors are also really beautiful so I’m really looking forward to painting her sometime in the future.
