"A Hopeless Dream Chaser"
Didn’t have much of an idea for today so I just started drawing and ended up with this. One more day and inktober will be completed. I should probably plan out what I want to draw for tomorrow since I won’t have too much time and it would be nice if I could watch a movie or something to fit the Halloween mood.

Since I first saw the teasers of Nier Automata back when I had yet to play the game, I had seen a segment of Simone. The song was beautiful and the way it fought looked amazing. And when I actually got to play it, I knew that I had to draw her at some point. It’s a shame it took me this long to actually draw her. I was thinking of inking it, but I still don’t know what I will do later with it so I will leave in as line art.

Today’s prompt is music. I wanted to make something more Halloween themed. At the beginning I was thinking of doing perhaps a more realistic take on the Spooky Scary Skeletons segment where a skeleton was playing the drums on another skeleton. Then I remembered Miguel from Coco and changed my mind. I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve actually done a drawing on Coco. Both Halloween and Dia de los Muertos will be here soon. Man time flies.

Today’s prompt is hide. After a little bit of thought I decided to use the scans of Momoko’s last photobook as reference to draw today’s drawing. What I did differently today was just learn from the clothes and the tree used, I wanted to make my own pose. I was imagining a scene where Momoko was playing hide and seek and decided to give up her position in a cute way.

I had this idea a couple of days ago but was worried that I wouldn’t have enough time to draw it. Luckily I was able to make it. For today’s prompt we have buddy. It’s strange, but Tomoko’s and Yoshida’s relationship reminds me of G Gundam. You know, how like in the show they communicated through their fists (although it’s just Yoshida actually punching, then again Tomoko attacks using even more dangerous moves). I really loved Yoshida’s look and segments from the amusement park chapters.

Last year for day 24 of inktober I had given this drawing a try, although I had modified it a bit. Since the prompt for today was sleep, I decided to try once again. Since it is a close up I was able to add a bit more detail to the drawing. Despite having a blueray with the Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! PV the scene where they are napping is a bit blurry due to some effects they used. I had stitch different parts together to get the scene together. Buono! is so nostalgic…

I wanted to do a drawing that was done entirely with hatching and cross hatching. Looking through my references I decided to draw @yu_ra_ne , I believe she is a model? But she has a lot of beautiful photos that I could choose from. I decided to go with one where she was dressed as a goth lolita since it would better fit into the Halloween aesthetic.

I remembered there was a scene where Goku was fighting in the Tenkaichi tournament and he got dizzy when he used a technique where his spun around and turned into a tornado. When I was looking for it, it was against Nam. There was less variation in the posing showcasing how dizzy he was. So I decided to add more movement to my take on Goku getting dizzy. Since it was an easy drawing, I decided to ink it.

Since were are past half way through this month, we are closer to Halloween now. I’ve been re-watching “My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected”. I never got to finish it when it came out. So hopefully this time I actually get to finish it. I’m really enjoying it (currently in season 2). In season 1 episode 8, Yui and Yukino both dressed in cosplay. The costumes used are what I used for reference in this drawing.

Short on time and yet I was crazy enough to make a drawing with a background anyway… It’s a shame I couldn’t ink it. If you have been keeping up with Watamote there is a cute chapter where Tamura visits Tomoko despite a typhoon forming. Although knowing Tamura, it is because there is a typhoon that she decided to visit. When I saw the prompt for today (storm), I came to the conclusion that I would draw them coming back from the store. I hope to finish it once I have more time. Still haven’t decided on how to go about it though, inked, colored?

This was drawn using a reference from the show Shoujo Commando IZUMI. Recently I watch this channel named Kenny Luderdale who showcases old school anime and Japanese shows. On one of the episodes he was talking about this show which at the beginning was going to be a Sukeban Deka sequel but changed into a mix of a lot of 80s action movies.

What’s funny is that when I was plugging it into the Google image finder it marked it as a photo of Fusako Shigenobu, leader of the Japanese Red Army.

I took some screenshots of some other cool scenes but I will same that for some other time.
While I was drawing it with ink I began to wonder whether what she had even had rockets. I began to remember that Kenny referred to her weapon as a bazooka. Luckily when I searched information about the bazooka, I learned that it was indeed a type of rocket launcher so I was still okay. Didn’t get a chance to ink or hatch it but I should probably try and do so for some more pieces in the coming days.
