Inktober 2019 24 Buono Striped Knee highs

Today’s Pixiv theme is Striped knee highs. Decided to challenge my self today and draw three subjects and even ink them. I had much less time than I thought I would today but I still somehow managed to do it. Having said that, I was originally planing to have them sitting in a couch with a window behind them showcasing a snowy background (this because it snowed all throughout last night where I live), but that would balloon the amount of time and it’s already rather late as I write this. For now this will do. I will come back to it later of course. I really love Buono so I was really happy as I was drawing them.

Inktober 2019 16 Native dress Mexico

Today’s Pixiv theme is native dress so I chose a typical Mexican one specifically from the state of Durango. Had a bit of more time today so I shaded it a bit. Since I did this one on the move I used a Pentel EnerGel ball point pen. It’s quite good, thin and the ink flows out quite well. But I can’t erase with it since the ink smears. I gave it about an hour to dry out but it would still smear, quite a shame.

Pixiv theme for today is plushie. Had a couple of ideas but decided to draw Fubuki with her older sister Tatsumaki as a plushie. I really like their relationship, it feels real.

Ayumu Kasuga aka Osaka is easily my favorite character from Azumanga Daioh. Was looking through the manga and decided to have her wear the cat suit from the school festival.

Inktober 2019 01 “No. 1”

Been a while but I need to keep posting new artwork again. For now in order to get me into gear, I will once again take part in inktober. This is me posing like Kojiro Hyuga from Captain Tsubasa.

80s Tirantes cute girl

I’ve been really into drawing with my g-pen but I have been trying to develop coloring styles as well. And I want to see how I can color my artwork when I use black ink. Does a detailed painting fit it, or do I have to use a simpler color scheme? This piece was drawn and painted a while ago so sorry about now uploading it sooner. Have been quite busy lately and decided to focus my time to drawing and painting.

One of the things I like about Krita is the ability to apply screentone like a paint (meaning I can paint it on with my pen). This is a great tool. So I decided to try out different shading process, without and with screentones.

Kojiro Hyuga Tiger Shot

Captain Tsubasa 2018 is over… Hopefully they will continue animating the rest of the story, it would be a shame if they stopped here. The fight between Hyuga and Tsubasa was really entertaining and really pumped me up as I watched it in the gym. When they revealed Hyuga’s Tiger shot I got goosebumps. They did a really good job to show the power and strength behind Hyuga’s shot. No question about it, Hyuga is definitely my favorite character of Captain Tsubasa.

I really like the aesthetic of giving the idea of power and movement by using hatching and rough lines, it really blends well together with color.
