Another game that I still haven’t fully played despite my interest. I remember seeing a friend of mine from middle school who first showed me the game and I seriously wanted to buy it. But for many reasons did not have the chance. I’ll probably wait a bit and hope they make an hd collection like they did for Devil May Cry.
Anyway, this drawing took me quite a bit of time, especially because of the detail on the armor. But overall I believe it came out rather well. What do you guys think?
Still haven’t bought the games but I went and looked up some videos of Vergil, and he is awesome. I can’t wait to play the games, luckily for me they have made an hd collection of the devil may cry games for the PS3 so this will make things much easier.
Vanitas, one of the hardest bosses in Birth by Sleep. Especially in the secret Vanitas stage. It was definitely unexpected when we found out that the face underneath the mask was that of Sora, and yet it also made perfect sense seeing as both Ventus and Sora are connected by an amazingly strong bond.
I decided to place Vanitas in a leaning back against a wall kind of pose with his helmet off (as requested). I almost made a couple of mistakes when drawing the face. Since the helmet was completely off he wouldn’t have the metal remains (which is actually the helmet but without the black protective shield). It’s kind of hard to explain, but to those who are really observant and actually know what I’m talking about Im sure will understand.
My drawings as they are, are still incoplete without backgrounds so I might have to do something about that. But with the current camera I have now that runs out of battery rather fast, it’s kind of hard to do it in one session which is already taking ridiculous amounts of time. So I might have to do it in seperate videos. What do you guys think?
For this video I was requested to draw either L or Kira so of course I chose my favorite character L. I just can’t stand Kira, and seriously L is one of the weirdest and coolest characters out there.
A couple of months ago when my old account was still alive I received a request for Sakuya Izayoi in the style of Banpai Akira. But because I was so busy I was never able to do so. But finally here it is, if you (the requestor) are still watching my videos I apologize for taking so long.
What is weird is that I have also had a great urge to draw Sakuya in this style. For those who do not know, Sakuya is one of my favorite Touhou characters and right now I believe that Banpai Akira is my favorite artist. So as you can imagine I was really looking forward and excited to create this drawing. What is interesting is that now that I have decided to take the time needed to create a great drawing is actually rather long. Before it used to only take about 40 minutes to 1 hour, but not it is taking from 2 to 3 hours. This drawing took me over 5 hours to create.
I believe that most of my time went away on the table which had a lot of colors and had to have a good shine to it. This was achieved with my secret weapon… the white color pencil. Just like the black gives my drawings a really good effect and sense of three dimensionality, my white also reflects light to give my drawings some more impact that jumps out of the pages. I seriously loved the way it turned out.
This drawing was done just like my Marisa drawing where I took a cosplayer to give me the posing and also a picture that showcased Banpai Akira’s style. If you have not seen that video you can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4biUjNxmPhs
I disappeared once again, and I apologize for it. But I am now close to being finished with my newest project, so I hope you guys look forward to that.
And so the time has finally arrived for me to draw Aqua from Kingdom Hearts. I have been realy looking forward to drawing her for such a long time. After playing Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep she definitely became my favourite out of the three new heroes. Her powers just like her personality were gentle and balanced, creating the strongest and most prominent character in this arc. Her involvement in this story was so great that without her the story might have ended at just that, having Xehanort winning the battle between light and darkness. I can’t wait to see her in Dream Drop Distance and witness what other feats she will accomplish.
As stated in the video I want to hear your comments on which version of the drawing you like more. The light drawing or the dark one?
This is a video from my old account. I believe it to be one of the few gems that came out back then. The only complaint I may have is that I made her body bend a bit too much. Hopefully it won’t cause her a problem when standing and posing.
Devil may cry is a game I have had the urge to play and yet have still not had the chance to do so, which is kind of ridiculous if I really think about it. As soon as I have some spare money I am definitely purchasing the series (luckily the most of the games should have a big discount by now).
Despite not playing the games yet, I have taken notice of Dante and the Devil May Cry series. I have always thought that they looked extremely cool and interesting after I saw a friend playing the game, I believe it was the second one in the series. It was so long ago I do not remember clearly.
Anyway here is another drawing request and I truly hope you guys enjoy it. I really like the hairstyle Dante used when he was younger although that one strap that only covers his chest takes a bit to get used to. I’ve noticed that most of my request have red in them…
It is finally here, my interpretation of Black Rock Shooter. This character/series has had quite a bit of a following, so much so that it’s amazing. The story of how it all began is just as great or even greater than that of the Touhou Project. It all started with the individual work of one man that all flourished into something so magnificent and amazing. To have just one drawing inspire a song and later a whole array of adaptations including anime, games and figures is just amazing. I can clearly understand why it happened, though. After all when I saw drawings and videos of Black Rock Shooter my curiosity was always awakened. I was just facinated by the design of both the character and the background.
When I saw the OVA I was blown away, it was really owning up to all it’s hype. Now I know that there are alot of people who dissagree and believe the OVA or the series for that matter isn’t that special, all I can say about that is, to each their own. Next stop is watching the series, but I want to leave it alone until a couple of episodes have already gone up. I like to watch it marathon style.
My interpretation is made up of action figures, original and fan made renditions of Black Rock Shooter. I really liked the blue hue on her hair ( which is apparent in the figures) so I decided to add that in. I was kind of having a bit of hard time deciding whether or not to incorporate the blue flame, but I seriously wanted to show her eyes which is why I ended up omitting it. Back grounds are something I still have not been incorporating yet (and the main reason is the time it would take), but I really want to do so, even if just a little like I did with this drawing in the very bottom.
For the first video of the month we have a special double feature. These drawings were on my last channel, I truly think they came out great. And I hope you guys do as well.
I know that Vampire Knight is a shoujou manga, but I do not shy away from trying them out (especially if the artwork is captivating like this series). Even so, there are some that are a bit too girly and “strange” for me (to those who read shoujou manga, you know what I mean). But Vampire Knight is probably my favorite shoujou manga right now, the story, characters and most of all the artwork are amazing. The first time I enven noticed Vampire Knight was when I saw a picture of Yuki in a magazine, I was captivated right away. I later found out that she was from a manga series, as soon as I started reading I was hooked. It should be very apparent that my favorite pair is Yuki and Zero.
I plan to make a new drawing with both of these characters again so I hope you look forward to it.
I am happy to announce that for todays video we will be drawing, Erza Scarlet from Fairy Tail a series that I truly enjoy reading. Erza definitely has what I look for in a women; strong, smart, brave, nice and not afraid to kick ass. Not to mention her amazing looks and proportions. One of my favorite things about her abilities are the forms she takes and the control of the swords (remind me alot of Kingdom Hearts, my all time favorite game series). I think that favorite form definitely has to be the “Heaven’s Wheel Armor”, in fact I was really tempted to draw her in that form. But I just couln’t help but fall for her in a maid costume. Which is how I drew her.
After looking for some references I noticed the anime version and renditions from fans when it came to the colors and designs were a bit different. But I liked the manga design since it had more details and I liked the coloring a fan did on one of Hiro Mashima’s drawings from the manga. I felt that the red in the skirt really brought the image out more than using more black or dark colors.
It’s kind of sad but you can’t really see all the quality of the drawing through the camera’s lens, it really looks much better when you look at it in person. Hopefully when I scan it, the image will showcase its true beauty (I’ll be posting some more of the drawings that I have drawn so far on my page).
