As promised, here is the next update to the current artwork that I am working on right now. This is only the base with some shadows added. This was done with both water colors and Copic markers. Now I am in the final stages. What I will do now is add some more colors with my color pencils. And that will be my final step, so next time it should be the final piece.
Hatsune Miku Next Project
This is my next project. I was thinking of adding some feature that would make coming here a bit more of an incentive, than just going to my DeviantArt page. After all, if its just the same things than really what’s the point of coming here right? So what I will do is post only the rough drafts and finished version while I will give people that come here a little bit more of the process of the drawing and some details of why I decided to do certain colors or details among other things.
Well here is the first batch.
Sinanju ‘A path that is not destined?’
Materials- Copics: C1, C3, C5, C7, W1, W3, W5, W7, B34, B39, B45, R27, YR09, Y08, Y11, Y21, BV00, YG03, YG06, 0, 100
Reeves Water Colors: Payne’s Gray, Ivory Black
PrismaColor: White, Black, 20% French Grey, 20% Warm Grey, 50% Warm Grey, 70% Warm Grey, 70% Cool Grey,
Dark Umber, Crimson Red, Crimson Lake, Sunburst Yellow, Orange, True Green, Cloud Blue, Light Cerulean Blue,
True Blue, Copenhagen Blue, Ultramarine
I tried a new technique on this drawing. I was thinking about this for a very long time, wondering if I would be able to pull it off correctly. It’s not like I haven’t used this before, I attempted a couple of drawings when I was in high school. They came out alright but needed a lot of polishing, though I did not have a couple of tools that I have now to aid me in the process.
Anyway, this drawing is mixed media. I first put a base of watercolors and Copic’s getting as much of the details as I can. Then when that is done I go over it again and add more details and make it smoother with my PrismaColor color pencils. The results are actually quite amazing. The reason I was so interested on this technique was because my Copic collection is still small and I don’t have much money to keep refilling them and water colors come out really washed out (they are meant for other styles really). On the other hand color pencils require a lot of time to polish the drawing. If not done right, the drawing comes out washed out as well and there are also white spaces left one the paper grains which diminish the quality of the drawing specially when having the subject complimented with a background.
What do you guys think? I am planning on drawing a couple of other Gundam Unicorn mobile suits/gundams. Which ones do you guys want me to draw next.
Site under construction
Site will be undergoing some new changes, please bare with me.
Some new changes
As I thought, I will have to give up making Youtube videos (at least regular ones). From here on out I will just focus on creating the best artwork possible and making my name grow. On top of that I will also help grow a project that I have been interested in starting for a while now. Hopefully I can make my goals happen.
Although I have gotten extremely busy these days, now that I have given up Youtube I now have a bit of time to implement to this page, so expect some more content from here on out. It won’t be coming at a scheduled pace but it should be constant at least.
There will be some changes to this page as well, some pages will be taken off. I will now only focus on creating drawings and nothing else. So all pages that are not that will be taken off. The way to order commissions will be simplified as well, and some of the artwork will be taken off and replaced as well. So keep that in mind if you happen to see somethings missing.
I have finally reached the level where I can create artwork that I was aiming for. But that also means that I can reach even higher levels when it comes to my artwork, so I will not be satisfied just yet. I will keep improving my art so that it can reach new heights. I truly hope you guys look forward to that.
On another note, “Feliz dia de la independencia! Para mi pais Mexico!”
Today we celebrate the independence of my home country Mexico, though it is going through some tough situations and problems, I still love my country and am proud to tell others of my nationality. Hopefully the problems being faced will be resolved in a non violent way in the future. “Viva Mexico! Te deseo lo mejor.”

XERO DRAWING – Godzilla x Gypsy Danger Part I
Time spent: 5 hours 20 minutes
Materials used: Sakura 0.7 mechanical pencil, Faber Castell Perfection 7056 pencil eraser, eraser,
I am actually about half way done painting the drawing, but I had two drawings to do this week so I had no choice but to break it into two parts. For this drawing I wanted to do something a bit different, so I decided to draw Godzilla vs Gypsy Danger. Surprisingly it wasn’t as tough as I thought it would be, but it did take quite a bit of time to draw. And since painting it has a lot of details plus I am also trying out new techniques along the way.
Over all, it looks quite bland without any color or even shading so it looks mediocre. But that will all be fixed on the next segment.
Hope you look forward to it.

Uniball Sigmo White, Black
Sakura Moonlight gellyroll: Yellow, Red pink, Orange

So we are now on the third Sailor senshi, two more to go. From what I have seen so far, Rei Hino is definitely my favorite one. What is interesting is that they changed her personality a lot on the original anime from the one in the manga which I find a bit weird. But from what I have seen so far, this one seems to be more like the manga Rei which is more to my liking. Here powers are cooler too, specially since she already had spiritual powers to begin with.
Now for the drawing. I wanted to change things a bit more for this one. I wanted Rei to be a bit more like a Yamato Nadeshiko. So I made sure to not add much indication of eyelashes. And also change the shape of the eyes a bit. And truthfully, it worked out. She came out even better than I expected. One thing that I did sort of messed up are her eyes. I made them purple, but I was reading that they turned red when she was in her senshi form. But oh well. I really like her purple eyes. They blend really well with her long dark hair.
What do you guys think?

So the new video is finally up. It took me such a long time to finish it. Mainly because I had to do a intro and ending sequence. I have begun using Sony Vegas Pro, so it took me a while to get used to it. Sadly one thing I noticed was that the more I rendered it, the more the quality of the video went down. So I will have to be careful how I edit videos from now on so that this does not happen again. I apologize for the somewhat blurry quality of the video. As well as for taking long to even post this. I am currently working on the third video so that I wont fall behind, I really want to do this on a weekly basis.
If you notice, I don’t talk throughout the whole video. I figured I would focus on certain things for each video, in a way the highlights or the parts that I thought were important for you guys to know. But, this is what I think you guys want to know. So if you feel there are some things I should touch upon let me know in the comments, and I will integrate it on a future video.
With that out of the way. Now for the actual video. For the first video we will be drawing Kirito from SAO. I figured I would change things a bit more with these new videos and try to challenge my self. For one, I rarely do action poses, so I decided to do it with this drawing. Also, I had some new techniques I have had in my mind for quite some time, so I figured what the heck. There are two things that gave me problems along the way though. For one, some of my Copics ran out of ink part way. And the second, I bought this small sketch book made for water colors so that I could draw backgrounds without using too much of my materials. The problem was that it was not Copic friendly, it was far too corrugated so the ink did not blend well (it left a lot of white spots) so it didn’t look good. I had to spend hours fixing that. I actually planned on having this video up last Friday, but oh well.
Before ending, would you guys like seeing me do the backgrounds as well? Let me know if so.
Hope you guys enjoy the new format, and learn much more this way.

How to Draw Challenge – Black Rock Shooter (COLOR)
It is finally here, my interpretation of Black Rock Shooter. This character/series has had quite a bit of a following, so much so that it’s amazing. The story of how it all began is just as great or even greater than that of the Touhou Project. It all started with the individual work of one man that all flourished into something so magnificent and amazing. To have just one drawing inspire a song and later a whole array of adaptations including anime, games and figures is just amazing. I can clearly understand why it happened, though. After all when I saw drawings and videos of Black Rock Shooter my curiosity was always awakened. I was just facinated by the design of both the character and the background.
When I saw the OVA I was blown away, it was really owning up to all it’s hype. Now I know that there are alot of people who dissagree and believe the OVA or the series for that matter isn’t that special, all I can say about that is, to each their own. Next stop is watching the series, but I want to leave it alone until a couple of episodes have already gone up. I like to watch it marathon style.
My interpretation is made up of action figures, original and fan made renditions of Black Rock Shooter. I really liked the blue hue on her hair ( which is apparent in the figures) so I decided to add that in. I was kind of having a bit of hard time deciding whether or not to incorporate the blue flame, but I seriously wanted to show her eyes which is why I ended up omitting it. Back grounds are something I still have not been incorporating yet (and the main reason is the time it would take), but I really want to do so, even if just a little like I did with this drawing in the very bottom.
Hope you enjoy it,

“A Better Life”
Today I have finished watching one of the best movies of 2011, “A Better Life”. I had seen the preview for it a couple of months ago, and was quickly intrigued. Now, one may ask themselves why I would be. And the answer is… I know how hard it is to be an immigrant in this country (the U.S.) or any country for that matter (these problems will apply whether you are considered legal or not). Many people tend to treat immigrants rather badly. Although this movie was based on the live’s of Mexican immigrants, this can relate to anyone who has had to make the long journey to have “a better life”. Maybe the resources are not that good in the native land, or there is too much violence leading up to the migration. But whatever the reason, people tend to migrate to provide a better life for one’s family, specially the children’s.
What I find interesting is the way immigrants are portrayed in the eyes of those who oppose the incoming flow of new Americans. We are seen as pests, scavengers, leeches, in other words, the worst of the worst. When these people are asked why they do not like immigrants they quickly say that we are gangbangers or drug dealers. What they fail to understand is that we immigrants are not all like that, yes there are people who fall off into that kind of life (it is not just immigrants either, some of the biggest crimes and drug usages are done in places considered “high society” and closed communities), but not everyone. And to top it off, they (those against immigrants) take away the identity of the individuals. We are no longer humans, we are “aliens”. These tactics are extremely disgusting. After all it is tactics like these that were used by Hitler when he made sure to destroy any other culture he believed to be in the way.
What’s funny is that when people think immigrant or for a worser term “alien”, the first thing that comes to mind is Mexican. But it is not just Mexicanos that come to the U.S., it is a whole array of people from all over the world who wish to bask in the light of opportunity to make “a better life”. Immigrants range from an immense ammount of diversity, that make up almost all the cultures of the world. After all the United States is a country of immigrants. So to deny the entrance of new Americans is rather selfish. One thing that should be pointed out is that the new wave of Americans is not like our predecessors, who came with guns and destroyed the cultures of the true native Americans. Compared to that past, this new wave is actually a rather peaceful one.
One other thing to have in mind is that humans always will migrate, it is our very nature. A great many people have migrated after all. Reasons range from survival, opression, bad environment, religious calling, riches, or to just explore and take humans to new horizons. This will continue to happen, after all humans are now looking to the vastness of space. Humans are made to migrate, so to say that we do not have the right to enter this or any other country is to go against being human. Most people that came here want to make “a better life” but because of all the restrictions and shunning, many are forced to go outside the law in order to survive. Now, I am not defending criminal behavior, but I do ask for understanding. We all are where we are because of the series of events that went through our life’s, the problem is that some have it worse off than others and not everyone is strong enough to pull through to lead a “good” life.
Now this goes to any immigrant, legal or not. After all I have seen discrimination to all of us disregarding what our status is. So if you should be reading this and happen to be an immigrant I will tell you this. Do not give up and fight for your dreams. Life gives you many challenges, it is up to us to go through them and prove ourselves worthy. And to those who oppose the influx of immigrants, I am sorry you feel this way. But please try to open your mind and heart and try to remember that we (yes including you) are decendants of immigrants. The only thing I ask of people is to try and have understanding. Life is not black or white, it has many variations so to choose only one side without taking into account the why, will only lead to conflicts and misunderstandings. And truthfully we can be better than that.
If you are interested in finding out about the hardships that many immigrants have to go through, then please check this film out. Another film that I really enjoyed is called “Shinjuku Incident” starting Jackie Chan. This film also deals with the hardships that immigrants face. In this case the immigrants are Chinese and the country is Japan. Although in two very different hemispheres, the similarities are extremely apparant (one more piece of evidence that we are all the same). I really liked this film as well so if you have the chance please check it out.
Sorry, I know I deviated a bit from the usual themes but I find this to be a very important topic. Plus this helps lead up to the next video.

How to Draw Challenge: The Seventh – Sage-Chan
Request by: SageU
For this video I will be drawing the cute dancer, Sage chan. I was tempted to draw a picture of her where she had her face twisted in a rather interesting way, but alas I decided to draw her this way. This drawing still took me a while to draw but I did manage to shave off thirty minutes compared to my drawing of Yuka. I really enjoyed taking on the different shades in this drawing. I’d say that the face is still the most difficult part since it has to do with a lot of shadows and lighting. Oh, by the way.
You can visit Sage Chan’s channel here: http://www.youtube.com/user/SageU
and her fan page here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Sage-Chan/168610173219416?sk=wall
For this video I recommend listening to: “Gravity=Reality”.
Hope you enjoy it,
