Cafe Background

Summer is almost over, finally. It’s time for cozy artwork. This background did take me a while. Especially so because I had to plan out the dimensions and furnishings. I would say planning it out took the longest. Despite the large amount of details, such as the bread, once I had it all planned out it moved along quite smoothly.

Dragon Ball City Background

This will be a background for a drawing I did a couple of weeks ago. I wasn’t too sure what I wanted for the background but decided upon this one. I really like the way Dragon Ball makes their landscapes and backgrounds so I tried to emulate that.

Beach Background

A piece I’m working one and this will be the background. Summer is finally ending, so I should do a couple of pieces before we finally enter autumn.

Underwater Background

This is the background for a future painting. Surprisingly despite all the details and characters that I have incorporated to the final piece, it only took me two days to paint the background and the actual subjects. As for what this painting will end up bein, those who know, know.

Athena Asamiya Peace Re Do Rough Back Ground

Still don’t know yet if I will add a proper background to this painting yet. Now that I have it at this point I have some ideas of what is possible, but I wanted to try this rough background out since I liked it on another painting I saw in my references. To go along with the background, I went for a rough painting style on Athena. There were a couple of changes I made to her face and hair. I wonder if you guys can tell? With this design I wanted a fun, moe feel that emphasizes curves.

Revenge is Fun

I recently saw this insane edutainment video that was released back in 1989 named “How to Get… Revenge!” with Linda Blair (the lady from “The Exorcist”). It’s crazy. Wonder if anyone was evil enough to follow their suggestions? What made it even more surreal was Linda’s fun attitude throughout the whole video.

Surface Pro 7 1st Test

Still not much spare time this week, although I finished the hardest parts of my home project. The rest should be a bit more straight forward and hopefully will go much faster. If that does happen I should have more time to draw and paint.

On another note, my brother needed a laptop so I sold him my previous Surface Pro 5. This meant that I could finally upgrade to a newer model. I ended up on the pro 7 with an i7 and 16 gb of ram. A good improvement in all aspects overall. I just got it today and had a few hours at the end of today to try it out. So far so good, here is a quick sketch that I did freehand.

Yusuke walking REdo WIP

Picture below is of the old version, the one above is the new and edited one as of now.

As a bonus here is an almost finished version before I decided to edite Yusuke’s head because I noticed how huge it was in proportion to his body.

I have currently been quite busy with a home project that has been eating up my time as of late so I don’t have as much time to draw or paint currently. But here is an update regarding another painting that I am redoing. There were quite a few problems with the proportions and certain details that I need to add or modify. Unlike most times, the background has not been done first. That will be a future update and in time I will decide on what I will plan to do regarding Yusuke.

Background Beach V2

Here is the background for another one of my RE:do paintings. Recently I started implementing a new technique into my paintings. I’m surprised it took me this long to do so though. I’ll speak more about that later. Perhaps adding more details to the sand would’ve added something more to the painting, but with the subject as the focal point that may not be necessary.
