"A Hopeless Dream Chaser"
This background is to recreate a scene that I really like from an anime that I just started watching. But just copying the scene would be no good, so I decided to at least change the vantage point. With that said, I have seen landscape paintings that are done in a cube or in a cross section. I really like the aesthetics of it, so I decided to give it a try for this one. It was actually pretty fun to paint.

Now that I’m older I appreciate the Fishman Island arc more. I can see why some people would have some problems with the end message but what other outcome can you really wish for? It’s not so much that one should forget past wrongdoings, but. Each individual should be judged independently. I believe that’s what the starting from zero is referring to. Plus I feel the story is not one to one to real life, so I believe this message is for both descendants of past oppressors and victims alike who whether they like it or not have to coexist in modern times.
One piece hits different as an adult.
I’m now in the beginning of the Big Mom arc again. I’m finally catching up to where I left off.

This is the background for a future painting. Surprisingly despite all the details and characters that I have incorporated to the final piece, it only took me two days to paint the background and the actual subjects. As for what this painting will end up bein, those who know, know.
