This time around I wanted to play with lighting after deciding to paint a thunderstorm. Looking through Pinterest I found a good gif reference that I could use to learn from.

As I was painting, the colors didn’t really pop out the way I wanted. When I finished I decided to play around with the levels that revealed what I was aiming for. Going for darker colors and more saturation on the blues was what was missing.

Next time I will hopefully be able to do it without having to edit the levels.
