Beach waves and sparkles background

I’ve been slacking a bit… Kinda hard to concentrate with everything that is going on…

This will be the background to a future piece that I hope to finish soon. I’ll upload the line art for it next week. As for this background I wanted to work with the shallow part of the beach which will include the way things look underwater. It was definitely a bit tough to get the idea, but I think I have it mostly there. Perhaps I’ll change things in the upcoming days but in the end the subject will be the focus so who knows how that will change things, or not.

Momochi in the Beach RE:do

I originally tried painting this drawing back in 2020. To keep with the theme of the original attempt, I decided to go with a flat style. Though it would have been interesting to try it with my current style.

I was quite content with the simpler painting but I wanted to add in some lighting to really emphasize that summer vibe.

Rei Ayanami grass nap RE:do

I was hoping to edit this painting a bit more after giving it some weeks till I got back to it. But due to certain things going on I think this will have to do. Perhaps in a couple of months or years I’ll come back to it. Having said that, overall it captures what I was intending to do.

Aside from the lighting, I also redid the grass and made some edits to
Rei’s proportions and repainted some of her facial features.

Momochi Glancing to the Right

Sumer Clouds background

Don’t know if I will use this painting as a background later down the line but I just felt like painting a cloud like this. Thinking about it now I didn’t really struggle much like the past attempts.

Strawhats At The Beach

I decided to work on the Nami painting again. But I felt she was too lonely so aside from reworking her and the background I decided to add the other (official) female members of the Strawhats. For some reason I was having trouble with the colors for Robin and Vivi’s hair.
