Inktober 2020 04 radio

Didn’t have much time today either but I somehow still managed to draw something. I had a bit of a different idea in mind when I saw the prompt yesterday. I was thinking of having a cholo and a yanki having a boombox battle trying to impress a cute girl. But due to the lack of time I had to scrap that idea. When I was looking through my reference collection I saw an ad with Phoebe Cates holding a portable stereo and I knew that it would be the reference picture I would use.

I was wondering if I would be able to convey that her hair was wet, but I think I did.

Inktober 2020 03 Bulky

I had a couple of ideas about what the next ink drawing I would do, then when I got back from work I started getting some more ideas. That lead to me preparing a lot of screengrabs for references… so I just started running out of time (I didn’t even finish). I then had to scramble to find something to draw. Looking at the prompt for inktober I decided to draw this cute girl in a bulky jacket.

Nube Commuting Home

There’s a contest currently going on with Corel. It’s supposed to end today. As soon as I finished with my 2B painting I started working on this one. Aside from using a reference photo for the background I went ahead and painted Nube from memory. The original version was lighter and faded so I went ahead and added a multiply layer to add more color to it. I just started painting and just let it flow.

Goku’s Winter Visit

I really wanted to draw Goku in his snow outfit from the muscle tower arc. When I was getting reference pictures from the anime I noticed the Suno seemed to have a crush on Goku. Later when I compared the same arc in the manga, the whole subplot was completely absent. In any case I decided to make a piece of Goku and Suno. I wanted to make it seem like it was a scene from the anime. I wasn’t too sure how I would pose Goku and Suno so I first started by painting the background. I really like the way it came out. After that I decided on having Suno looking at Goku as they built a snowman. Lastly I decided to add some snowflakes.
