I’ve seen some drawings in old books and what not so I wanted to give that a try. Reference used was Arnold from “The Running Man” poster.

Ai no Dangan Momoko maru pen
An ink drawing of Momochi in a biker suit from the music video “Ai no Dangan”. This mv gives me some Bubblegum Crisis vibes which might me a good idea at some point.

The reference image used for this drawing was from the Berryz Koubou Alo Hello in Hawaii photobook.
Just like my last drawing, I’m using the same style. This time because of the shirt’s design, it will have more hatching. The whole style (clothing and hair wise) gives a summer vibe.

I wanted to try out different styles of drawing but didn’t quite liked the way the first drawing came out, but it was a good practice run for my second attempt.
In commemoration of Momochi’s graduation anniversary I will be doing a couple more artworks this month.

Yane Yukata
I finally got the chance to paint the Yane line art. I decided to go for a cool spring setting and color. Somehow, the leaves without a more solid form looked weird so ended up making some line work for some of the leaves as well.

I was just playing around with colors in the background till I arrived with the current background. I think it fits the current Wano arc. I’m really coming to love the Sargent Brush in Corel Painter.

Thank you Kentaro Miura
I was caught off guard when my brother told me the news of Kentaro Miura. I remember people joking that this could happen before the story ended, but I guess that’s just how life is. Ever fleeting and unpredictable. His art, story telling and characters were truly inspiring to me. They were a level that I hope to reach someday. Thank your for all these years, allowing us to see and learn from your work. Although you may be physically gone, your legacy will forever be remembered.

I really like the introduction of Yamato. The last chapter I read was when she was introduced, I really have to get back to it. I’m really hoping she becomes part of the straw hat crew.
