"A Hopeless Dream Chaser"
We’ve somehow made it to the end of this year. It sucked. Here’s hoping this new year brings better things. On the plus side, I made progress in my artist journey so it wasn’t all doom and gloom. This will be my final drawing for 2023. If I feel like it, hopefully tomorrow’s drawing will be more positive.

It’s Reina Tanaka’s birthday! I’ve been a fan of hers since 2009. Here’s to hoping she has a great year. To commemorate her birthday I decided to go back to the past when she sang Memory Seishun no Hikari. I really love her rendition, and the accompanying music videos are great.

You know, it’s funny. I just learned that the English name for a marigold is cempasuchil. On top of that after watching the play Marigold where Meimi stars in, I learned that in the language of flowers it means despair. But that seems to be in the Victorian meaning, because for us Mexicans it means purity, divinity, and the connection between life and death. It is said to be a gift by the Sun God and helps lead the dead with it’s scent.
In any case, another year has passed. It’s been a tough one but I hope that things will finally start getting better in this coming year. Either way, there’s no other option than to keep going at it.

Somehow made it. This is this year’s Valentine’s day illustration. I decided on choosing Misaka and Saten for this scenario. I can’t believe I haven’t drawn or painted Saten except for that one time a couple of years ago. Of course since this illustration has Misaka I ended up adding some Gekota.
This illustration took a bit longer than anticipated but I think it was worth it. Hope you guys have a good one.

I’ve been doing multiple pieces this week so I haven’t been able to finish this one yet. I’m still unsure of what characters will be chosen. I’ll edit the items on the table accordingly. Welp, till then.
