"A Hopeless Dream Chaser"
I’ve been planning to draw Shampoo almost since the beginning of the month. It’s now finally time to go for it. It was a bit tricky with the angle, but now that I’m done I have some ideas of what I can add to it in the future. But overall it worked out.

The design itself was based from the pose from a reference photo. I liked the force perspective that I want to get better at.
The design of the bikini was from Ranma’s usual clothes, just in bikini form (I still wonder if I should have designed it in a better way). I wanted to play around with water reflections this time. It’s still a bit new to me so it was a bit tough deciding where it made sense to add blue and green hues.
A shame I wasn’t able to finish it before summer ended though…
I’ll try to do more paintings this month along with the daily drawings for Inktober, but we’ll see.

I really love Ranma and Ryoga’s interactions. I decided to go with a flat anime style on this one.

Not feeling too great today so I decided to only draw the line art today. This time I decided to draw Ranma.

Now that it’s Spring, it is finally time to showcase the painting of the main love triangle (Akane, Ranma, Ryoga). While painting I was wondering what sort of style I would go for. I’m always split between flat anime styles or more realistic painterly styles. In the end I went for an anime style. After that I decided to add some lighting glare that really brought the background and the subjects together. One thing I leaned from this painting was that it looked better when I added separate lighting for each character on top of the main glare that covers the whole painting.

Although there are still a few days till the end of Autumn, it is also Christmas time that will be coming up. With that in mind, this will be the last painting of the season so that I can start working on both Christmas and winter paintings.
Although I like most of Ranma 1/2’s characters, Shampoo is definitely fight for the top spot (it’s always fluctuating among girl Ranma, Shampoo and Ryoga).
This time I decided to add some backlight with Photoshop. I don’t know which version I prefer more.

Originally I only had Akane but felt it needed a bit more so I decided to also add in Ranma and Ryoga.
I’ve been uploading to a couple of sites but I stopped uploading to Twitter when I found out they would use images for AI, I also started getting a bunch of NFT and spam from Artstation so I have decided to also stop uploading there first. On the plus side, at least it’s two less things to update.

There was this idea that I had for a Ranma drawing and I finally decided to draw it today. I have also been wanting to draw Shampoo for a while and figured out a way to work her into the drawing. Because of the amount of details and whatnot, I decided to use a large paper this time.

For today’s theme I chose the eternal hiker Ryoga Hibiki.
It seems like the remake is finally releasing episodes. I’ll try to check it out tonight.
