Somehow last time I uploaded an unfinished version of the background. This was actually the version I was supposed to have uploaded it.
I’ve been re-reading One Piece. And I’m enjoying it more as an adult than when I was a kid. What’s amazing is that as the series goes on, it just gets better and better. This also goes with the emotional parts of the story. I forgot just how tough Robin’s life was growing up. Oda did a great job of making us understand why Robin would do her best to distance herself from the Straw hats during this arc. Truly a great character and addition to the crew.
Today’s drawing is of the two rival poster girls, Mai Shiranui and Chun Li. Chest vs Thighs. I’ve had this idea for number of years. I did a really rough background for it back in 2021 but I wasn’t quite ready so it lay dormant till now. This time I did the line art first and will probably end up using a different background this time.
I have had this idea for a couple of years and now , I can’t believe it’s taken this long for me to finally draw it. This will also be inked and painted. But that will be uploaded at a later date.
Here is a some line art of Tomoyo Harada holding a Toshiba Sugar RT-SW7 boom box. I used a magazine advert as reference. I can’t believe it, but this might be my first time drawing her. Strange because I have so many pieces I had planned for a couple of years now.
Originally painted back in 2020 I didn’t quite like the way it looked. This time around I took off the line art and painted over the original piece until I was satisfied. Also, unlike the original I flattened all layers except two (the background and Simone).
Way back in 2018 for Inktober day 11 I drew Athena Asamiya which looked really rough. Here is a RE:do of it. This time I went for a softer more curvy style. I made the shorts a bit smaller than the original design (they pull up higher up to he bellybutton), I fixed that on the digital line art.
This project has been taking longer than I thought it would but I’m almost done with the really important section of it. After that there’s some more I wish to add to it, but that can take it’s time. What I will say is that it was worth it.
I recently saw this insane edutainment video that was released back in 1989 named “How to Get… Revenge!” with Linda Blair (the lady from “The Exorcist”). It’s crazy. Wonder if anyone was evil enough to follow their suggestions? What made it even more surreal was Linda’s fun attitude throughout the whole video.
