Inktober 2022 30 Meimi Tamura Birthday

Day 30. Today is Meimi Tamura’s birthday! Well it was yesterday if we go by Japan time. To commemorate the occasion I drew Meimi. I have really been into her music lately. I really hope she continues to produce more music. In some of her Instagram posts she has been talking about fairies, thus today’s theme. I was short on time again, but I felt that it wouldn’t be good to upload the drawing as only the line art. So I pushed it rather close to midnight today in order to add line details and inking. There is a lot of detail so I hope that Meimi and the fairy are visible and stand out.

Inktober 2022 29 Misaka and Misaki

Day 29. We’re getting really close to the end of this year’s Inktober. Didn’t have much time today to ink it since I was still figuring out the outfits. I was thinking of having Misaka and Misaki in Halloween costumes. So at first I was thinking mosnters, but in the end I decided upon Red Ridinghood and Alice from Alice in Wonderland.

Inktober 2022 28 Marin and Gojo

Day 28. Marin’s bunny girl costume and Gojo’s Bunny costume were a fun match. Gojo getting one step closer to accepting himself and getting over his past trauma was a nice step towards his development.

As for this drawing, in some of my references of Momochi I found some that had her with the same bunny costume that I thought would be fun to draw. That bunny costume has been a staple of Hello Project. I remember laughing every time the bunny appeared during the rollercoaster ad segments.

Inktober 2022 27 Kanon Fukuda

Day 27. Today’s drawing is of the Angerme collaboration with Sally the Witch. I haven’t seen the anime but I have seen the opening when I listened to a 90s anime opening playlist on Youtube. I started checking out Angerme’s music this year and was surprised to find out they sung the opening. It’s such a cute video. I could have drawn any member but decided to draw Kanon Fukuda. Her ending scene was super adorable.

I made two versions, one in my style and the other emulating the Sally anime.

Inktober 2022 26 Hermione Granger

Day 26. For today’s drawing, it’s Hermione Granger. When I was growing up I read all the books, but I have yet to see all the movies. I should probably do that when I get the chance.

I debated whether to hatch her sweater and skirt.

Inktober 2022 25 Karin Miyamoto

Day 25. I really love the mv for “Pop Music” by Juice=Juice. The homage to Matsuda Seiko was such a fun touch. Ever since it came out I wanted to make a art piece for it. In this instance I chose the album cover. Since I’m back from my trip I can start inking my drawings again.

Since Halloween is now fast approaching, I should make some themed drawing from here on out.

Inktober 2022 22 Iori Yagami and Athena

Day 22. Today’s drawing is of Iori and Athena. I saw this reference photo from a guy that had the same style as Iori and just had to draw it. Apparently its from a show in the 90s. I was going to keep the same actress on Iori’s side, I mean we don’t know how Iori’s ex looks like. And Hosho Mai looks super beautiful in the photo. But ultimately I decided to change it to a King of Fighters character. I chose Athena.

Inktober 2022 20 Anju Maaka

Day 20. Today’s drawing is Karin’s younger sister Anju. While reading the manga, I forgot just how much she was protecting her older sister. Their sisterly bond is freakin cute.

Inktober 2022 19 Karin Maaka

Day 19. We’re getting closer to Halloween, so why not start drawing a couple things that fit the theme. After looking at a photo of Momochi feeding the viewer karaage I felt that I had to use such a cute moment as a reference. Then I remembered Chibi Vampire (Karin). So I put both ideas together. As I was looking for references for Karin, I started reading the manga again. It still holds up. I’m probably going to re-read it before I go to sleep in the coming days.

As for Momochi’s photo, it is a cutesy scene that is also paying homage to the Berryz Koubou song “Shining Power”.
