Merry Christmas and happy holidays! With these two uploaded it’s finally time for me to try and rest for a bit. (And of course it would fight me till the end, had to re edit a couple of times before it allowed me to render it.)
Vegas kept crashing on me so I decided to change to Adobe Premiere. Now I have to learn how it all works but at the very least I can do most of the basic functions. Although I had to learn what I needed looking online. Things are not as intuitive as Vegas but oh well, I’ll learn. This is just a really quick speed paint. I’ll work on the new format for future paintings. I’ll upload Fubuki and Tatsumaki’s speed paint as soon as it’s done rendering.
I need to find a new place to upload my art because Pinterest keeps resizing my pictures below 1080p.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
Somehow I managed to finish the second Christmas painting. This is another RE:do. This time it’s from a really rough piece from back in 2018 when I was barely getting into digital painting. Thus it was quite rough. Five years of practice really shows.
Back in 2020 I made a piece of Marisa in a Christmas outfit, but it was really rough and I was still using my developing painting style along with my line art which don’t work well together at all. For that reason I believe it would be a good candidate to RE:do with my current skills. Overall I love the new version a whole lot more. I did make some changes to her expression, but I feel that it all still gives the same cool yet cozy Christmas feeling.
Here is the old version:
I recorded the process, should I just make a speed paint video of it? I’ve been quite busy and will probably continue to be so for a while. This means that I probably wont be able to start making the new format for a while. Since Christmas is fast approaching and it would be weird to upload the video a year later why not just upload something now?
If time permits, I will try to make another painting for Christmas. We’ll see.
I guess at this point I should just expect that any collaboration is possible. I mean Night Tempo has made collaborations with Sayumi Michishige and Airi Suzuki. It’s crazy how a lot of the things I like are coming together from time to time. We truly are living in the future now.
I wonder what special attacks Yor will have. Wait are these collaboration events only temporary or are they going to be left in the game forever?
In this fight I’m team Yor by the way. Who do you guys think would win?
This is the background to commemorate a certain collaboration. I actually didn’t think this was a possibility. I’m really glad that more and more collaborations are happening. For now here is the background. I might modify it a bit more when I actually finish it, but we’ll see.
I felt that the previous version I had looked off but I didn’t know why. At some point I got a comment that pointed out the arm and sure enough that’s what it was. My brother said that I should go back to basics, maybe that’s what he meant.
I was a bit worried about this one because the main subject had to be modified first before I started work on the background. I’m finally getting used to working with water and waves. I was using a reference photo that had a different type of mountain that what you normally see in Japan so I had to modify that once I had the main idea.
As a side note, I finally have everything needed to record sounds. Now it’s just a matter of coming up with a format. I do wonder if people would be interested in just watching a real time version as well. I might just upload that on my secondary channel in conjunction whenever I figure everything out.
It has been months that this painting has been waiting to be posted. Although that was a good idea because a couple of weeks ago I made some edits that I feel made it even better. I don’t know why, but I always have problems with Rei’s hair. Something about working with blue hair, or maybe blue in general is giving me problems. I like the contrast of the white and black plug suits.
This is the background for a RE:do painting from back when I was first learning to paint digitally and I was just beginning to understand how to use digital art programs.
We are essentially at the end of autumn. It went way too fast…
In any case, in order to commemorate it I decided to paint K’. One of my favorite characters from The King of Fighters. The idea came to men when I saw the animation of him panting and in pain. Once I have a good idea of how I will edit my videos I’ll upload the process.
