Laios went too far Line Art

About one or two weeks ago I finally got the chance to read Dungeon Meshi, after my brothers both high recommended it.

I loved it. I can’t believe I already finished it. I really loved the world and the characters. (I’m also currently watching the anime, so far they have done the series justice).

This line art was done after I read through the ghosts section. I can’t believe Laios would say something like that. But having read the whole series now… Yeah this guy definitely has said and done many things that I think I can incorporate to this piece in a future update.

Till then.

Airi Suzuki Ray Kimono Line Art

Today’s drawing is of Airi wearing the Kimono from the latest Ray Magazine cover.

I love using Corel Painter for painting, but when it comes to rough drafts, line art and flat colors Clip Studio Paint is the way to go. It’s amazing how the feel of the stylus feels when I change from pencil to pen.

Yoriko Dôguchi Flowing Wind Line Art

From time to time Youtube recomends some pretty cool stuff. Last week I was recomended this video by a channel named Zulfian:

It’s a fan music video for a film called Do Re Mi Fa, or also known as Bumkin Soup. Haven’t seen the movie yet, but the edit and scenes used are really beautiful. There are quite a few scenes that I want to draw and paint. It’s just so aesthetic.

After a long time, I made some line art. I started with a more realist style but wanted to also try a more anime/manga style, so I did both.

I still haven’t decided on what I would do regarding coloring/painting it. Hopefully I would have seen the movie by then.

Komi Shouko Winter line art

Rough Draft
Pencil Line Art: I quite like the way pencil flows
Line Art

For some reason I had the urge to draw Komi. It’s been a while since I last catched up with Komi’s manga. Last I remembered they went to New York I think? I think it’s time I go back to reading it.

I have a number of paintings waiting to be uploaded but I need to space them out between background and the finished painting. Which helps me rest my eyes on them so that I can give them a look over and edit as needed. Plus I really should do some more drawings and line art.

Because they are simpler to do I can create some time buffers so that I can practice and work on longer projects. My brother was telling me that I should do some traditional art, and I do want to. But it takes longer so I have been neglecting it lately. It’s sad just seeing my Nicker Poster colors cake up.

We’ll see.

Hasta la proxima,
