"A Hopeless Dream Chaser"
I had a couple of ideas about what the next ink drawing I would do, then when I got back from work I started getting some more ideas. That lead to me preparing a lot of screengrabs for references… so I just started running out of time (I didn’t even finish). I then had to scramble to find something to draw. Looking at the prompt for inktober I decided to draw this cute girl in a bulky jacket.

This time I used inspiration from a photo of Rie Hatada’s single cover. When I saw the color scheme it reminded me of Athena. As for the art style, this time I wanted to use Masakazu Katsura’s (artist of Video Girl Ai). I really like the fusion of realism and the manga illustration style.

October has finally arrived, and that means that Inktober has as well. I had some ideas on the past days but just yesterday I had an idea of Goku kicking me in the back sending me flying like in a gag manga. I thought the idea fit this year and the start of this Inktober quite well. I wanted a simple style much like the one used in the original Dragon Ball. Once I was done I was tempted to add more details, but I really have to contain my tendency to overwork pieces. I think this will be a good starting piece, I’ll try new ink styles over the coming days.

Finally the last day of Inktober. I somehow managed to make it through. Yesterday I showed “The Mummy” movie from 99 to my brother who hadn’t seen it yet. I then came up with the idea of the mummy being afraid of Sayumi and Momoko doing cat gestures and saving me before being consumed. I want to redraw it when I have more time.

Were about to enter Halloween so I wanted to make some witch oriented piece. I had another idea (which will be done at a later date) but I decided to make Bulma into a little witch. Then I eventually decided to combine Kiki’s Delivery Service with Bulma.

Didn’t have much time today so I wanted to do a quick drawing. I chose to do another Ranma 1/2 drawing, it’s been a while. This time I wanted to draw Genma Saotome in his panda form.

Today’s Pixiv theme is “Movie”. It’s been out for a while now, but I just recently began and finished watching Cobra Kai season 2 (just watched the last episode last night). It was awesome, can’t wait till season 3. Temperatures plunged and it started snowing so I had a free day today. I decided to take the opportunity to do a more detailed drawing. Although maybe that was a bit too much since I wanted to use these rare chances to actually rest and do nothing. I guess I just couldn’t help myself. Because I wanted to have some hours left to rest I started getting really sloppy and worked faster when I began work on Miyagi sensei and Kreese sensei. Shading on them is really rough and loose. Might redo have to redo it when I have the chance. I feel sorry for Miyagi’s left eye, but will leave it as is for now.

I started playing Pokemon Go again and for halloween a Pikachu wearing a Mimikyu costume was created. I really like the design it’s really cute.

Today’s theme is “one eyed”. It’s been a while since I did a Berserk piece so I decided to draw Guts again. This time I made up a pose used references after to know how to draw the armor. This one took a long time to draw trying to figure out the way the body would fold and flex, and then the most time consuming was trying to figure out how the armor would look from certain angles. It wasn’t hard, it just took me a couple of tries to try out different angles and shapes. What sucks is that I ripped and folded the paper when I erased the pencil lines. It’s a shame.

Today’s Pixiv theme is Striped knee highs. Decided to challenge my self today and draw three subjects and even ink them. I had much less time than I thought I would today but I still somehow managed to do it. Having said that, I was originally planing to have them sitting in a couch with a window behind them showcasing a snowy background (this because it snowed all throughout last night where I live), but that would balloon the amount of time and it’s already rather late as I write this. For now this will do. I will come back to it later of course. I really love Buono so I was really happy as I was drawing them.

Today’s Pixiv theme is physical sitting. I didn’t know what that was so I had to look it up. Anyway, for this piece I drew it all from memory on my free time throughout the day. I’ve been watching the Berryz Koubou with Cute concerts before I go to sleep. I liked the hairstyle Airi had in the BerryKyuu Island concert so I gave that a try. I won’t lie, I was surprised how well it came out. I also noticed I worked much faster than using a reference.
