Working on the knit sweater sure took some time… I decided to try out different designs only to just outline it with a brush pen. This time I decided to try out my dip pens with the paper meant for ink that I mentioned yesterday. And sure enough, using the paper that is meant for you know. What it’s meant for, actually works. It not only resists getting it’s fibers cut, but it also doesn’t absorb as much ink as other papers. I’ll have to play around with it more. But so far I’m liking this Canson Pen & Ink paper.
Although I like how this drawing of Sayumi came out overall, It’s just a shame that I wasn’t used to the Pentel ink brush pens (which I decided to finally try out). I have a shorter wider brush and a slightly longer but thinner brush that I learned I like best, just too late. Seems like the wider brush is to cover wider areas, but I need the versatility of the thinner brush for my style. But now I know.

I was running out of paper so I bought some new one that was made specifically for ink and pens. I decided to try it out for todays drawing. The paper is quite smooth, I like it. When I get the chance I want to really try it out with my dip pens. On other papers it would cut the fibers and lift them up, so I wonder if that problem will not occur with this paper.
This time it’s a study of Karin Miyamoto using a photo from her instagram.

Was really tired today so I just rough sketched a mountain on a cliff using the brush pen. The cliff castle looked lonely so I decided to add a moon and the mountains behind.

This drawing is of Luffy making an homage to Frankenstein.

Was really short on time today and I decided to also draw in a sofa with a lot of details… As much as I would have liked to hatch and ink the drawing, I’d rather take my time at a later date instead of rushing through it. Sadly I messed up Momochi’s left eye (on our right) so I had to edit it with the Posca marker. For some reason my thinner pen (Pentel Energel) wasn’t working so I had to draw it all with the R-2 Precision pen. Luckily it’s possible to control the thickness with pressure. It was really fun drawing Momochi again.

Despite it’s story problems, I liked the aesthetics of Wednesday (haven’t seen the second season yet). I’ve always wanted to draw the catgirl outfit even if it’s years after. I tried doing the exaggerated wide angle drawing but I still am a bit off. I seriously need to practice more.

I’ve been planning to draw this since the beginning of Inktober this year. But since the pose is similar to Momo Ayase’s I decided to hold off a bit. In a way that was good also because I got to try out the different pens. Despite that I messed up and smeared the ink on the face (that was devastating), and then again on her thigh. I was thinking of redoing it and starting again. But I also bought some white markers such as my Posca that I could finally try out. It works well and can be layered, plus it doesn’t show up when scanned.

Was really short on time today so this time it’s a study. I decided to finally draw a_n_o2mass, she is super aesthetic.

I didn’t really know what to draw today, but then I suddenly felt a bit of nostalgia for Bartman that I used to read when I was a kid.

Maki Zenin is definitely my favorite character from Jujutsu Kaisen. As the story progressed she just became cooler and cooler.
