Rin Shima Freezing

Originally drawn for Inktober 2022 day 23.

I had to modify some of the lineart but for the most part it all worked out. I know the anime uses blue hair, but I quite like the more purple hue she has in the manga illustrations. the outfit and colors I got from a figure of Rin on her Yamaha Vino. It really helped out a lot.

Freezing Background WIP

This week has been something… Somehow I was able to make progress on this painting though. Here is the background for now. We have been having waves of strong winter storms lately where I live, and it seems like more are coming on the way. Winter this year has been living up to it’s name (and the end of the last).

I’ll upload the finished painting on Monday if all goes well.

Goku’s Drip

Original line art was drawn for Inktober 2022 day 04. I wanted to try drawing Goku in a different style with some slightly softer hair. I prefer the black and orange combination so I used blue for the sneakers only. The outfit I feel would be great for both working out and wearing casually so I could see another iteration of Goku wearing this outfit instead of his Kame outfit.

The original line art was cut off from the bottom and the top so I resized it and drew the missing sections.

Shin Godzilla

I love the scene where Shin Godzill first uses his atomic breath and other beams. I won’t lie, the first time I saw it on theaters I was surprised and wasn’t too sure about that change. But everytime I saw the movie again I fell in love with this new design and the new abilities. This scene in particular was very touching. The purple color is also a nice touch to differentiate it from other Godzillas.

Guts Frozen Quest

The original idea was to have Guts in a frozen scenery, but as I was painting the background I decided to add in Casca and Puck. This scene would be taking place right after their encounter with Griffith and Zodd, I was wondering if adding more layers would slow down my tablet but it had no problems what so ever. I guess it was just the canvas size that was giving me problems…

Kuga Trigger On

Karin Miyamoto had posted some photos of her cosplaying and buying goods from World Trigger. About two weeks ago I finally decided to give it a shot and have already caught up (with the manga). I was actually surprised, the world building, battle system and character interactions are great. Check it out if you get a chance. Kuga is freakin cool, his adaptive fight style always gives me a surprise.

Guts Frozen Quest Background WIP

Currently working on a painting that I had thought up last year. It’s still a bit rough at the moment, but the main idea has pretty much been painted out using my Surface Pro 5.

So I had bought a used Surface Pro so that I could paint on the go but rarely used it because it couldn’t keep up with the settings I use on my desktop. The canvas size was too large I found out. When I halved the size to around 2500 to 3500 the Surface is actually quite capable. I can’t believe that was all I need to do so that I could use it…
